Unclean women:

A woman is unclean for seven days after giving birth to a boy. On the eighth day, the boy will be circumcised, and the mother will spend the next thirty-three days “in the blood of her purifying.” Whatever that means. During that time, she is not allowed to touch anything holy or go to the church.
If she has a daughter, she will be unclean for two weeks and spend sixty-six days in the blood of her purifying. Because, of course, girls are evil.

After her purifying is complete, she will bring a lamb and a pigeon or turtledove to the priest for a sin offering. “Then she shall be clean from the flow of her blood.”

“in the blood of her purifying.”

That must be the part where you bleed like a stuck pig for weeks and weeks after you have your baby, as though to make up for all the periods you missed when you were pregnant. Also as though you didn’t bleed enough during childbirth itself. These days, instead of making you sacrifice a ewe and a pigeon, they just make you wear these unbelievably huge maternity pads and take sits baths every day. It’s awesome, I tell you. Totally glamorous.

Clearly our own damn fault for the sin of Eve.

My nephew and his wife with one child teach this CRAP at Catholic schools and they call me hatefull like teaching kids lies isn’t horribly hate filled.
They are not even married in a Catholic church so I can imagine they fear the day their ONE kid says(WHY<WHY WHY??????????????????
